About Felipe Solano
Felipe Solano is a Senior Scientist with Geosyntec Consultants in Waterloo, ON, Canada. He has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André, and M.Sc. in Contaminant Hydrogeology from the University of Waterloo.
Mr. Solano has 20 years of experience working on the design and installation of novel remediation technologies in Canada, the United States, Denmark and Brazil. His technical expertise includes feasibility and treatability studies for emerging contaminants, design-to-operation of full-scale in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) and Surfactant-ISCO systems, monitored natural attenuation (MNA), enhanced biostimulation and bioaugmentation of chlorinated solvents and other recalcitrant compounds, and the application of forensic tools, such as compound-specific isotope analysis (CSIA), for site investigation and remediation. He has helped advance the in-situ implementation of chaotic advection systems to enhance the distribution and contact between injectates and contaminants, and co-developed an innovative resistivity probe system for real-time monitoring of injected reagents.

Mr. Solano has authored/co-authored peer-reviewed articles on soil and groundwater investigation and remediation techniques, frequently serves as an instructor of the Bioremediation course taught at SENAC, and present at remediation conferences throughout the US and abroad.
